Dear Dick,
Very sorry that it has taken me three weeks to get to this letter—it has been on my mind every day! First of all, I want to give my sincere thanks and appreciation to you and your cohorts for doing such as beautiful job on our trip! I can also speak for Lisa when I say, that it was truly the trip of a lifetime! We enjoyed every single part of it. The thoroughness and thought to all of the details, the hotels were conveniently located, and small and personal, (all very polite also!) I can understand your love for Italy—what a lovely country with lovely people!! By the way, we got an excellent car—I was thrilled since I did all of the driving! Automatic and GPS—relief! I want to compliment you also on your choice of tour guides—we loved all three of them Marco, Patrick, and Tosca, different but unique, knowledgeable, funny, very, very, helpful in understanding the history of Italy. We loved them all!
Most of all I think our stay at Osteria dell’ Orcia in Bagno Vignoni was my favorite. Our host Salvino (sp?) was one of the nicest people we met in Italy! He was such a gracious host and we hope to go back and visit him someday! The hotel was beautifully run, clean, hospitable, excellent food! We were at first uncertain about taking the cooking lesson, but that was one of the highlights of our trip! Rocco gave a great lesson in pasta making! We came home and have already tried it!
Thank you again, Dick, for making our trip so enjoyable! I have already given your name out to several people who plan on going to Italy in the next year or so!
Hope to make your acquaintance again in the very near future…
Sincerely,
Cristina
